Obituary

We remember and celebrate Israel David Holguín, with great thanksgiving and deepest gratitude for his life. A truly remarkable young man whose time with us was far too brief, yet whose impact will be everlasting.  Israel passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Born on October 2, 2001, Israel lived with a strength of spirit and depth of wisdom that was beyond his years. He was an old soul, grounded in an unshakable faith in God. From childhood, Israel walked with the Lord. His greatest strive was learning what it meant to be humble, kind, genuine, real. His heart for the Lord shaped everything he did. He sought the heart of God, not status or applause. His dedication to learning and growing was his worship to the Lord. Israel was incredibly intelligent, a natural learner an effortless genius. He could figure out complex formulas, fixing or building anything with ease. He did everything with excellence and integrity. It wasn't just what he could do, it was who he was. He didn't waste time talking—he'd get in, do the work, and get it done. He had a heart that loved deeply and longed for a simple, beautiful life. One of Israel's greatest dreams was to find the love of his life—to be seen and loved unconditionally, to build a home full of laughter, warmth, and children. He dreamed of being a devoted husband and a loving father. That quiet dream and longing defined so much of who he was. Children were naturally drawn to him — just like everyone else. Israel had a rare light, the kind you can't fake and can't miss. People loved him instantly. His kindness, his joy, his humor, and his generous heart made him unforgettable. Every room was better when he walked into it. Every person he met walked away better for it. But it was his nephews, Noah and Karter, who had his whole heart. He adored them deeply and loved being their uncle. He stated that he'd lay down his own life for them. He delighted in their laughter, their presence — he saw them as part of the future he dreamed of building. Israel also had a free spirit. He didn't follow the rules, but he didn't break them — he remade them and made them better. He had the kind of mind that always found a better way. He found joy and freedom riding his motorcycle, often describing it as "pure euphoria." It was one of his greatest joys—one of the many ways he felt fully alive. No one could convince him otherwise. To know Israel was to witness something extraordinary. He led without demanding. He gave without hesitation. He loved without limits. He lived with quiet excellence and fierce focus. He was, in every way, a gift to this world. Israel's love and loyalty as a son and brother were unmatched. He carried a deep devotion to his family and was a rock to those who knew him best. His relationship with his mother was rooted in an unconditional love—a bond that shaped his life at its core. The guidance, knowledge and direction instilled in him by both of his fathers played a powerful role in molding the man he became, and the love and wisdom of his Nina was a steady source of strength. Israel cherished his siblings with a fierce and loyal love. He was proud of Rylee, Taylor, Kenisha, and Kierra. He celebrated their milestones, their strength, and who they were becoming. He was a brother you could count on, someone who showed up with encouragement, presence, and protection. Each of them held a unique and irreplaceable place in his heart. And among those relationships, Israel shared an unbreakable bond with his cousin, Kendric—more than cousins, they were brothers and best friends. Their relationship was forged in love, loyalty, and an unspoken understanding that carried them through every season of life. In one of the most defining moments of their journey, Israel made the decision to move to South Carolina to stand beside Kendric as he pursued his own dreams and career. Israel had first discovered his love for working with his hands back in Riverton, while employed at Futuristic Flatwork & Framing, LLC, where he began to develop skills in construction and learned lessons that sparked a deeper passion. Once in South Carolina, Israel joined West Shore Homes, where his experience, drive, and eagerness to grow set him apart immediately. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a project leader in a short amount of time. Known for his work ethic and his willingness to teach and uplift others, Israel earned numerous 5-star reviews—a reflection not just of his talent, but of the integrity and excellence he brought to every job. Even as he built a new life, Israel never let go of where he came from. He proudly carried his Wyoming roots with him, and his new friends in South Carolina felt it too. They affectionately nicknamed him "Cowboy," a title he embraced wholeheartedly—and with a grin. It was not just about where he was from; it was who he was. He brought that same Western grit, humility, and heart into everything he did. He valued hard work, precision, and creating beauty out of effort. But more than anything, he had a vision—to one day open his own business and use everything he had learned over the years to build something meaningful and lasting. Israel was even beginning to grow his investment portfolio, always thinking ahead.  Israel wasn't just building a career—he was building a future. A future he envisioned alongside Kendric, with shared dreams of success, brotherhood, and legacy, brick by brick and heart to heart. We will miss his voice, his smile, his laugh, his wisdom, and his unwavering heart. But we rejoice knowing that we will see him again—and when we do, it will be forever, in a kingdom that will never end.  Israel David Holguín is loved beyond words, missed beyond expression, and honored for eternity. "Half Of My Heart Is Gone" by Barbara J. Rouse

Son, I wish I could wake up and see you standing there. Then I would know that it was just a nightmare.

Son, I remember when you were small and how you would hold my hand, and as you grew older you became my best friend.

Son, I have 23 years of memories that I will treasure and keep safe in my heart. We share a bond that time and distance can never break apart.

Love Mom
