Ozzie J Lovett Jr, affectionately known as "Mank," on May 3, 2026. Born on August 17, 1959, in the warm embrace of Frostproof, FL. Mank was a beacon of joy, kindness, and resilience to everyone he encountered.
Mank was one of the nine children of the late Ozzie Lovett, Sr. and Mae Frances Lovett, who instilled in him the values of faith, family, and strength. He is now reunited with them and his dear sister, Ossie Lee Lovett, in eternal peace.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Tamara Lovett, who carries forward his legacy of love and compassion. Mank leaves behind a large and loving family, including siblings Kay Frances Wright of Alabama, Annie Ruth Richardson of Fort Mill, SC, Ruby Jean Lovett of Campobello, SC, Loretta Cunningham (Castel) of Lake Wales, FL, Gloria Jean Lovett of Spartanburg, SC, Karessa Lovett of Charlotte, NC, Felicia Jackson-Smith of North Augusta, GA, Gary Lovett of Augusta, GA, Derrell Lovett of Savannah, GA, Onesimus Lovett "OJ," and Daniel "Doc" Lovett, both of North Augusta, GA. His memory will also be cherished by a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who were touched by his generous spirit.
Mank was a proud graduate of Lake Wales High School, class of 1977. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior early in life, a decision that guided his journey and informed his every action with kindness and grace. Mank relocated to South Carolina and enjoyed life as an entrepreneur before retiring. He had a positive demeanor that elevated others and a smile that radiated many hearts.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mank was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in the delicate art of gardening and the vibrant world of shopping. These hobbies were not just pastimes but expressions of his appreciation for beauty and life’s abundant blessings. Mank's childhood and teenage years in Florida were filled with warmth and adventure, experiences that shaped the loving, gentle man he became.
